About Wendy Boyer

Wendy Boyer grew up on the Mississippi river in rural northern Minnesota. She has a Bachelor’s degree in education from Bemidji State University, and a master’s degree from the College of St. Catherine in Curriculum and Instruction. She has 25 years of classroom teaching experience and treated each class like a 2nd family. Wendy especially loved teaching kindergartners, and first and second graders how to read. An avid reader herself, she clearly remembers buying the first book she learned how to read, Frog and Toad Together, by Arnold Lobel and writing her name on the inside cover.

Most recently Wendy has been teaching Social Emotional Learning (SEL) at Peacemaker Resources.  She believes that SEL is as important as academics and has a true passion to spread kindness wherever she goes.  You will often hear her say, “Be Kind All the Time” and “Just Breathe”.
